Treads come out of heavier stock than flooring — full inch or inch and a quarter — because a stair takes a different kind of beating and because a thin tread telegraphs every stringer under it.

We'll cut to your rise and run, return the ends where the stair is open on one side, and match the riser stock to the floor it lands on.

Send the stair dimensions or a photo of the framing. We would rather template it than have you rip one short.
