Mantles — One timber, one face, cut to your opening.

Mantles

Mantles · Heart pine, oak, cypress

A mantle is a single piece of timber and it should look like one. We pull a beam with a face worth keeping, cut it to your opening, and leave the hewn marks and bolt holes where they are.

Floating mantles go on a steel rod cleat that disappears into the masonry. Corbelled mantles we'll cut the corbels from the same timber so the color matches.

Give us the width of the firebox opening and the height off the hearth, and a photo of the wall.
